Contest Brief

For our 3 years anniversary we are looking for a set of designs that we can use to best describe our community.

About the product : we have an app that allows people to find experiences in china. we have a small community of 500,000 people.

experiences are for example : Food, sports (e.g. Yoga, surf, football, skating, boxing, Japanese martial art …) , Tasting, Tour (e.g. panda zoo...), hiking, bowling, Cooking classes, coffee tasting.

To celebrate our 3 years we are launching a campaign around the themes :

“Come Alone, Leave with a community. “ : it’s the fact that most people while traveling use our app to find activities where they finally meet friends. So they join the activities as individuals and leave with more people in their network.

“ Explore like a local” : we help people blind into China, by giving them the best experiences and guidance. People get to join and enjoy activities that is host by locals.

“3 years in the making” : we spent 3 years building and making the app perfect .

What we expect :

We need some designs elements that we will use for the fall 2017. The designs / elements will be used for our media release, our online campaign and other communication materials.

You can come up with a set of design that “include” not “must”:

● People
● Community
● Food and beverage
● Traveling
● China
● Experiences
● Mobile app
● Party

These are just elements given to you. The rest depends on your creativity.
We might choose more than one winner. Take your time and submit beautiful and creative artwork.

Thanks you all for submitting your artworks, we’ve extended the contest of 72h to allow all of you to work on better illustration. Your work has inspired us a lot and we’ve decided to get some stories based on 4 mascots :

1. We would like to have 2-4 people well illustrated that we can use as mascot trying things such as, eating together, visiting the zoo, cooking together, being at the beach or doing some martial art.

2. You are allowed to draw as much as scenario as you want. You can either choose to make one or 5
3. There is a new file attached with some more graphics. We will highly consider drawing that are relatively close to those .

Hi, the illustration file should be strictly .AI vector in similar style as you attached in new zip file or might be digitally handpainted even in photoshop as .psd/jpeg file e.g. as splashscreen?

Hi Sir, when you said " designs elements", does it mean the logos for the event, promotion banners, illustrations for prints/webs, or all kinds of thing? Also which part of China does your company focusing on? Since China is really big and different provinces have different culture.

  Hey so basically you can choose any of these elements for you design..please have a look at the zip folder named : new sets. basically we want the illustration to tell a story about what you can do. if you decide to go with people maybe you can show people at the beach, or having a party or at the gym, then make a set of it. We had a basic though of what we wanted but the contest is more to give us an inspiration, that's why we are not letting the designer in house work on it we want more ideas from other people
