Contest Brief

Please find attached example of an album cover. Remember it is just an example. I think our artwork can be way better. For this discussion I am specifically referring to the art content in the gold oval on the center of the album. On the example the background is a wavy / blotchy background on our album the background will either be a real picture of a heavily wooded forest (I have that picture) or a forest background you create. In the forefront two options: Option 1: A caricature style drawing of a mans muscular arm (the arm should illustrate the actual tattoo work that the lead singer has) and hand holding a medieval maul coming from the left and a female arm and hand holding a maul coming from the right. Option 2: A caricature style drawing of the whole man (in likeness of the male lead singer) and of the whole woman (in likeness of the female lead singer) in both cases the caricatures the images are holding a maul. For both option 1 and option 2 the mauls are striking a steel anvil and a burst of energy is emanating from the contact point where the mauls are hitting the anvil. This is designed to show the dynamics of the male and female singer in the band. The band's name is Northern Steel. The male and female maul's should be similar but the females should have more of a female look like pink high lights and maybe sequins or jewels. We have about three weeks to complete this project. I am favoring option 2. Or maybe a combo where more detail of arms and maul and the singer image blends into background. The band is a collaboration between singer Eddie North and singer Vikki Steele hence the name Northern Steele. The album is not released yet but you can get a sense of the music by listening to Eddie North's release of "No Show".
