Design a unique company logo for FREEDOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS
COMPANY BACKGROUND:
Freedom Technology Solutions Pty Ltd is an Australian based Technology Solutions company that designs technical solutions based on an organizations business requirements and mission; we source all the hardware and software from Australian based distributors that is required to implement the design; we build, configure and test the solution; then we implement the solution in a live production environment. Our company then provides ongoing administration and management of the solution so that our clients can just get on with running their organization without worrying about the technology that is required to make it function.
MOTTO: Clever technology that just works!
VISION: technology company that provides intelligent technical designs & solutions that will work behind the scenes while the day to day business applications will continue to work and be accessible from any platform from anywhere in the world.
PHILOSOPHY: bringing enterprise based technology solutions to the SMB market place, allowing SMB’s to operate and function like enterprise corporations without the costly overheads.
REQUIREMENTS:
COLOURS: As in the original brief I like bright greens, the logo and font blended or contrasted with different types of greens that work on a background of both black and white (i.e I will need to see the design on both a white and a black background).
BLEND/GRADIENT/FOUNTAIN FILL OF:
#006633 (darker green)
#88FF00 (bright green)
#00B503 (green)
If you feel you need a darker green you can use #006633.
I am wanting something bright with the colours BLENDED not each element a solid colour but a blended colour, a mix of the ones mentioned above.
FONT: My colleagues and I have all agreed that a smooth modern font will work best. Many designs got the font right with rounded letters with no gaps, a font that is clear, clean and easy to read. Fonts with sharp edges don’t work and are NOT what we are looking for.
TEXT: the text must include "Freedom Technology Solutions" in the design somewhere. You can also include FTS and/or fts.global. My colleagues and I like the word "Freedom" being the central point of focus with "technology solutions" being a secondary point of focus.
SYMBOL: this has been the hardest part, I have explored many ideas with many of you already and some were outstanding (in my view) however my colleagues did not agree with my assessments. Previously I gave a lot of guidance in regards to what I was looking for in a symbol and many of you delivered exactly to my request and requirements. This time I am leaving it open for you to think about!
As you will appreciate we are an Information Technology Services company and as many of you may know, typically these type of companies don't have a lot of creativity or imagination. Many of their logos are boring and plain! We are not like this and want a creative, bright, engaging, energetic, simple and professional business logo that is consistent with the company name and the companies vision and motto. The logo will be used on business cards and other printed media such as letter head, flyers and posters as well as apparel such as black or white business shirts or polo shirts. We are also exploring the possibility of launching our own range of networking equipment and devices. So a logo that can be used on black, white or even green appliances would be cool.
MUSTS:
-> NO American imagery
-> NO military imagery
-> Modern Rounded font, NO GAPS in letters
-> Symbol/logo that is consistent with company name, vision, motto & philosophy
-> All designs MUST have a VECTOR presentation included, mock-ups are fine (and can be helpful) but there must also be a 2 dimensional vector image along with them.
-> BLENDED/GRADIENT/FOUNTAIN FILL COLOURS
-> All designs will be checked against http://www.gtdesigns.it/2016/01/02/overusedlogos/ to ensure originality.

WE SHOULD GET EXPLANATION ON WHY THE CONTEST HOLDER WAS TELLING US THAT THE LOGO NEEDS TO HAVE CHORDS AND MUST REFLECT TECHNOLOGY WHILE ON THE OTHER HAND THIS WINNING LOGO SHOWS HEALTH AND FITNESS, IF WE KNEW THIS THAN WE TOO WOULD BE FOCUSING ON THE HEALTH AND FITNESS ASPECT NOT ON A TECHNOLOGY LOGO

Just over 36 hours to go and 2 top designs have emerged. Waiting on some final opinions and ratings before I make the selection formal. Thanks again for everyone's patience, this has been a very long and difficult process as there have been some fantastic designs making the selection extremely difficult.

UPDATE: with 4 days to go I have 10 company member rating the 228 designs I have short listed. They are working their way through them all and some favourites have begun to emerge. I am excited and confident that a finial decision will be made by the 30th May.

UPDATE: out of 824 entries - 497 have been rejected (many of these are mockups of the vector designs as I am only presenting the vector designs for consideration), 69 were withdrawn and 278 have been short listed. Now I present those 278 for consideration. There is a possibility that this list will be reduced even further as we eliminate designs that don't suit. So to the 278 of you that made the short list congratulations, some of your design have been very imaginative and creative and some of you have really put a lot of thought and effort into your designs. It is going to be a very difficult choice.

sorry, this contest has been running for over 3 months and some designers have been in it from the beginning. If you have only just come across this contest, that is a shame. I have extended this contest at least 3 times, if not more. There are many many designers that have been waiting patiently for this contest to close. I am sure I have a winning design already :)

anyway doesn't matter too much, if your design is really good but the colours are not quite right we can always modify them on handover. So no more design entries, if you missed out on submitting your design, sorry. I have 96 more to go through then it is off to the company for the decision.

4 mins left to submit entries. Please have another read of the BRIEF some entries are too dark, I want light greens as the main focus with the darker greens as accents. Logo/image with a gradient fill and text with gradient or solid green colour. Remember BRIGHT logo so it stands out on a white and black background.

oh i am serious, I have invested a lot of time and money into this contest and want to get the best result. There was about a month there where I got tied up with personal stuff and couldnt commit to this comp, but that has been sorted out and now I have some really good designs and have a commitment from other people in the company to make a decision as I want to move on with a cool logo. Dont want to spend any more time on this comp. So yes I'm serious and want this to end with a good out come like everyone else.
