Contest Brief

I am creating a new clothing brand called Dewey Fin. It is beach casual clothing and accessories for men. Casual shirts, shorts, sandals and other accessories. Similar to a ChubbiesShorts or TommyBahama. The overall Logo concept should be driftwood rustic and/or old world in appearance, but within a relaxed life on the beach in the Bahamas sort of concept, but also not overdone either.

More specifically regarding the font, looking for a driftwood rustic/retro type of scripted font. The shark fin should match the font in its rustic/retro, and should somehow be embedded somewhere in the text of the logo. I do not have an exact concept in mind of how this will look, other than my thoughts herein, ultimately I did not put up any of my own creatives because I want it to be up to your creative minds to create as your minds eyes sees based on my descriptions. Below are some thoughts;

1. The traditional; The shark fin creative is in the middle of the text, end of text, front of text, an etched watermark behind the text
OR
2. Picture logo creative: Text is sort of in a rounded or tucked formation set over the shark fin, in sort of an old world round rustic shipyard circle stamp with other old world rustic elements.
OR
3. The font creative; The shark fin is strategically shaped like the F of the Fin, the D in Dewey, etc.

With the overall concept being:

1. Try to keep it within the theme described; beachy, fun, rustic, old world, casual, vacation, resort, etc.
2. Keep it simple, not overdone, but also unique
3. Must be professional and high quality
4. Keep in mind this logo will be used for the brand; so it is not only for the website, but also for the product labels and tags. There will be a short logo, and a medium logo, also created based on your long logo concept creative.
