Contest Brief

Important note: COMPLETELY NEW logo required for North West Recycling, to include a transitional element to show we have incorporated Brampton Skip Hire. To clarify, we are moving away from having two separate companies and will go forwards with only NWR, (having incorporated BSH into NWR). For a period of approximately 6 months, we will use a transitional logo, which could be as simple as having a single line underneath the new North West Recycling logo stating “Brampton Skip Hire”/”incorporating Brampton Skip Hire”/”formerly Brampton Skip Hire” - but much smaller- (or by including a small BSH logo). This element can later be removed.

Outline:
We are seeking a new logo design. We have an existing and very successful company, Brampton Skip Hire Ltd (BSH) with a logo (see attachment). Our remit however has outgrown Brampton Skip Hire. We now offer a much wider range of products and services (all concerned with recycling and waste management) and have a large recycling plant. We are also no longer based in Brampton. We are moving forward all the time, expanding upon our product range, including looking towards developments in waste to energy as well as moving further into the wider corporate market. A new company was launched to reflect this. This company is named North West Recycling Ltd (NWR). It also has its own logo (see attachment), however this logo and company is not very well known.
North West Recycling will be the primary brand going forward, and everything else will be classed as services or products offered by this company. As such, we would class the skip hire element as one of the various services offered by NWR (BSH will be incorporated into NWR)
We are therefore seeking a new logo (for North West Recycling) going forward to enable us to focus on a single strong primary brand. Our focus is on environmentally friendly, renewables, recycling, waste to energy. It can be completely different from the current NWR logo. The new logo however, should incorporate a transitional element referencing the fact that we have incorporated BSH into NWR. As mentioned above, this can be as simple as a written line of “Brampton Skip Hire” underneath the new North West Recycling logo. This is very important as our existing (very large) Brampton Skip Hire customer base need to see this visual link.
If you would like clarification at all, please do get in touch. I have attached two examples of a transitional logo for the company Hightail as an example of the kind of thing that we require.

Note: When considering colours, it is worth noting that one of the places the logo will be sited, will be on yellow skips, so any colours in the logo itself should ideally also work/look nice when placed on a yellow background.

Logo designs will be required in JPG, EPS (and other relevant formats) for use on web, brochures etc.
