Contest Brief
Dear Watson Consulting is an Information Technology and Business Process consulting company based in Melbourne, Australia.
We provide IT infrastructure, application development , business process support, business training and related services to small and medium enterprises in Melbourne.
We require a logo, font selection and colour palette which will form the basis of our style guide and will be used on all professional documentation going forward and will be designed using the general the themes of
• professional consulting,
• business process and BPMN 2
• information technology
• small and medium business
• Microsoft technology
• Sherlock Holmes (optional)
Specifically the submission must consist of the following
• A short description of the logo presented and how it relates to the themes above.
• A new Dear Watson Consulting logo which must be designed in a vector graphics format such as SVG which is scalable to any resolution
• A colour palette of at least six colours with Pantone, RGB and CMYK values which will be used as the basis for colour choices on Dear Watson Consulting material
• Select a typeface and text styles which complement the logo and colour palette including font, weight, size etc for use in standard documents, letters and PowerPoint presentations.
• Examples of how the designs should be used and not used and include examples of use in documents on websites and in presentations and alternative styles for different content backgrounds, sizes, indoor or outdoor use etc (Optional)
You may also optionally submit examples of the following if you feel this is needed to effectively communicate your vision of the brand.
• page layouts/grids
• brand tone of voice
• copy-writing guide
• imagery examples
• iconography
• Web navigation and button hierarchy
• Web coding examples or suggestions
The principals outlined in this submission will form the basis of our requirements for our style guide, this style guide will be used as the foundation for all Dear Watson Consulting branded imagery, documents and web content.
Example documents or presentation files are to be supplied in Microsoft Office 2013 compatible formats
The final logo must also be supplied as a separate file in a suitable vector graphics format which can be easily imported into graphics software such as inkscape.
The final submission must be free of any third party copyright and by entering you agree to release all rights and material of the entry to Dear Watson Consulting in the event that you are selected as the winner.
The skills required to complete this work are primarily graphic design skills, some copyrighting or web design skills may also be required for examples and additional content.

Dear Contest Holder,
please stay away from generic logos ( http://www.gtgraphics.org/genericlogos.html ), overused and copied logos, to avoid future copyright issues.
please dont make any decisions based on free photoshop mockups.
Support originality, creativity and hard work of a creative designer.
