Contest Brief

This project is planned to be executed in two phases:

1. Write a script for a corporate video for Asia Base (This contest)
2. Produce the video for us (optional – will be launched as a separate project at additional fee)

1. RE. SCRIPT
Although we require you to base the script on information you find our website “www.asiabase.com” you have free hands to include your own creative ideas – as long as what you create is original and sells our company’s services well. Here is a specification of what we expect the final video to look like:

Style: It is a corporate presentation of a LAW CONSULTANCY in CHINA – and it shall stand out as such. It shall feel “young” and "lively".

Footage: You shall write the script, so that any stock footage you want to use is specified in the script (please limit the use of stock footage to what is available on videohive.net and similar sites). You may also write the script so that it includes footage you plan to make yourself - or even footage you may instruct us to record and provide to you (in such case you must write a clear description of what it is you plan to use).

Voiceover: The script shall include text for voiceover in English

2. Potential future follow-up project: VIDEO PRODUCTION

If we are happy with the script – and if you are able to produce the video for us on reasonable terms – we plan to ask you to produce the video for us. This will be an additional project. Therefore, together with submission of your entry (script), please also inform us what your proposed budget is for producing the final video (we will pay additionally for any stock video you may chose to include).

Usage of the final video: The final video will be uploaded to our website. Links to to the video will be pasted in every email we send. We will also send the link to our contacts via social media. Finally the video will be used as “opener” by our people at every presentation they give – whether it is a client call or a presentation in public.

Dear Contestants! Thank you all for your entries! --- It is now time to pick a winner!

First let me introduce the two “runner-up” entries. Entry number 20 from bjfreeland was the most thought-through script, and although it was not picked as the winner by our management, it actually “won the popular vote” amongst our colleagues in the office. TheGuyver2040 submitted the most original idea – we like it very much.

But at the end, it was entry number 6 from seedowph that was chosen as the winner. This entry is very straight-to-the-point with regards to both focus and storyline. Seedowph went as far as presenting his script with very convincing recorded voice-over audio.

It is entirely likely that we will work with all of the three “finalists” in the time to come – but for now the winner takes it all: seedowph! Congratulations!

Dear contestants! I have now gotten a few interesting entries - but some of them are not really video scripts, but merely voice over texts. Please use the format of a standard video script where the visuals and motions are described clearly. Perhaps try to google "how to make a script for corporate video". You may also find script templates on-line.

  As there are already a lot of explainer videos on the website, this one should preferably be significantly different. I will not restrict anyone at this point in time - but i must admit that I lean towards something different from a traditional explainer video.

I would like to emphasise that my end goal is to get a super nice video produced. For now, this contest is only about the script. But it is HIGHLY likely that I will continue and let the winner produce the video (of course given that the winner has the ability and time to do so, and if price is not prohibitive).
