Contest Brief

The p3d.in Javascript API lets you build custom web apps that control the features of the p3d.in 3D viewer. With the API you can build Dynamic Product Configurators for e-commerce, Interactive Videos for Youtube, and many more custom types of apps. Only your imagination sets the limit to what can be done. With the API, you can control a myriad of features using simple JavaScript programs.

The available API controls range from starting/stopping animations, switching between textures, switching between 3D model variants, moving the camera, interacting with hotspots/annotations, making your 3D models react to clicks and other UI interactions, and much much more.

We are looking for examples that showcase the use of p3d.in in e-commerce, marketing, art, fashion, etc.

You can find free 3D models for download at CGTrader.com, Turbosquid.com and at the public gallery of p3d.in. We encourage you to find your own 3D models instead of using the ones in the examples only.

      Hi, sure, I am looking for examples of using our API for web applications in e-commerce, visual product configurators (see this simple example: https://variant-api.web.app/), industrial use cases, architecture, etc. I am not just looking for a fancy looking 3D model, but example use cases that can directly be used commercially

      Public discussion board is for questions BEFORE submitting your work. You can ask your questions about your entry AFTER submitting it on an entry discussion below (you can seal your entry before submitting so nobody will see you communication with the contest holder if you are not awarded).

      General private communication and submitting (links to) final work is prohibited since contest holders can take it and not awarding anyone, including those who sent their works. This should be done in the Contest Handover phase (after awarding).

    Uploaded an fbx rigged animated model, seems rigging nor animation are not supported yet, do you plan to? PD: compared to similar competitors website, yours has better processing speed, and better default illumination/reflections. Congrats.
