House Extension
For the house extension, I feel that it is important to keep a transitional space between the old cottage and the new extension. To achieve that a small corridor, with glass on either ends, creates a clean break between the two volumes. The extended volume to the house has been kept simple, clean and rectangular with efficient utilization of space with all the listed requirements fulfilled. There is a large and airy open kitchen,drawing and dining area which opens out to the garden. The plan has been designed with a minimal and clean aesthetic. The total addition in plan is around 135 sqm, which can be altered as per your specification. For the elevation, the clean glass divide between the old cottage and the new extension adds visual interest. The extension itself can be treated with a plaster finish to create a visual connect with the cottage. Additionally a further cladding finish treatment can be given to the extension. Height of the extension has been kept 3.6m .
