Worked with IBM, Bangalore as Lead - Finance & Accounting from May 2nd 2005 till Sep 28th 2007. Joined IBM India Pvt. Ltd in May 2005. As a process which is just transitioned to India from US, Tulsa, we had many challenges in stabilizing the process. For my part of process, Accounts reconciliation we did a Remote Transition which is more of cost effective. Work Summery: Ø Got trained on General Ledger reconciliations process through Net meeting and started working on the same within 1 month. Ø Got cross-trained on Monthly closing also within 4 months of Go-live. Ø Maintained TAT and 100% Accuracy in reconciliations and Passing journal Entries as well from the beginning of the process. Ø Trained 3 people perfectly on Reconciliation. Ø Preparing Process Maps, Monthly Metrics Charts and Individual metrics charts. Ø Successfully completed internal SAS audit and External audit of Reconciliations process. Ø Key Contributions: Ø Have been responsible for transport co-ordination for a team of 30+. Ø Responsible for training for entire team where, I have to get in touch with the training team constantly and have a clear idea on required trainings for team members and nominate them for the same. Ø Have been a Process trainer within the Team as well. Ø Preparing and presenting the DASH BOARD data every month in the client call. Quality Initiation: Ø Since my key interest area is reducing manual work which in turn improves accuracy and performance, I have created a Macro which automates a Manual Reconciliation. This resulted in time saving of 46 Mins. Ø I believe in “Foundational Training”. I have been selected as an “ F&A Product Trainer” for all the teams of new joinees in IBM F&A. Have conducted for about 8 sessions and trained 70-80 people. Ø Have been a SPOC for “Data Analysis” along with the dash board. It required me to prepare Process metrics and Individual in different ways with different parameters every time whenever it's required. This is basically to support client Visit. Ø Have contributed IDEAs often in team for process Improvement and am certified for all them. Worked with Hewlett Packard, Chennai as a Senior Process Associate from 10th November 2003 to 14th May 2004. Our team has undertaken the transition and process of in-house payrolls of different countries. As a part of that I worked on Singapore payrolls. Work Summery: Ø As a part of pilot Team we are expected to be able to communicate to team about whatever we have learnt in the conference call with our team in Singapore. Ø Preparing Process Maps and PowerPoint Presentations on Process flows to make things more clear to team. Ø Getting thorough with Singapore Taxation Team as Employees income declaration is a part of our job. Ø Focusing on conversational mails between client - Team and preparing Query list with answers out of them. Ø Auditing the documentation prepared by the team in Singapore. Worked with GE Capital International, from 10th July, 2002 to 7th November, 2003. As a major break in my career, learnt process with a zeal and passion. Experience in GE capital international has majorly involved processing payroll data, however, have attended many other training to develop self and subsequently worked for process development with the help of the same. Work Summery: Ø Payroll is a process where US GE Employee's pay related stuff is being processed. Ø I'm basically, involved in Payroll- Overpayments Process, where monies paid to the employees in spite of his absences are asked to be paid back through an Overpayment letter. Ø Our work involves research on Employees history to find out what is the eligibility he has and how much he owes to company. Ø We try to set off his eligibility against his overpayments. Ø Auditing the Overpayment letter prepared by Associate to the employee. Ø Process work also involves attending all the overpayment related queries by US HR through a web portal “CRS” (Contact Referral System) through the PeopleSoft Platform. Only Auditors have access to answer the client queries, as it was critical. Ø Attending Dashboard call weekly thrice to report the process volume and accuracy. Ø Taking all the associate's Metrics quarterly once for EMS. Quality Initiation: Ø Started a green belt Project on “controlling repeated queries causing huge volumes in Process”, which couldn't be continued as per company policies so implemented the same as an initiation in Process, which brought a drastic change in process volume. Ø Taking the interactive training sessions on Process Flow. After which the trainees are going on with 6 Sigma now. Ø Taking weekly tests from the Associates. Ø Sending out all the updates to team through mail, which we received from client regularly. Ø Discussing the errors with trainees immediately after the audit to prevent errors. Ø Sending out the quality updates gathered from various websites to team. Ø Taking regular measures to prevent all the Non - Value added work from process. Ø Following up with the client as well as Trainees to maintain the Sigma Level according to SLA. Achievements: Within six months have become SME (Subject Matter Expert) and have been rewarded with “individual Extra Miler Award “for the same. Have stretched whenever process faced attrition and huge volumes. Have taken up 40 % of total process volume with high energy levels. Have become SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) in absence of Process Developer and attended all major queries by client and sub process. Lead 4 processors' team, in the long absence of process developer. Worked with Conquest Infotech Pvt. Ltd. From January 2001 to March 2002. Conquest is a software firm with a very lively working environment, where i worked as an “ Accounts Executive “. Work Summary: Regular Transactions of accounts including voucher preparation and computerized accounting with help of Tally (5.4 Ver.) Ø Assisting Superior in finalizing the accounts. Ø Library Management Ø Also took the responsibility of Assistance to CEO. Ø Was responsible for all the Official Documentation. Ø Rendered my assistance in developing accounting packages. Apart from all these primary responsibilities I involved myself in preparing Official presentations, training Schedules, counseling to students out of my own interests. Worked with M/s Satyanarayana & Co., Ameerpet from March 2000 to January 2001 as Audit Assistant. A chartered accounting Firm, where I learnt that accounting is nothing but “Accuracy “. Being the first employer and stepping stone for my career I learnt with a fervor, which gave positive weightage to my curriculum vitea.
