I programmed a java application for Pepsi that runs on Pocket PCs that allows interceptors to collect a user’s information via the application on the Pocket PC and then interfaces with mySQL on a wireless LAN, allowing collecting user information in remote locations, to store the data. The application also allows administrators to log in and generate reports in real time per interceptor, day, time, or cumulative. At the end of the event the data is uploaded to a web server where it’s then migrated into the clients database, in this case Oracle, and emails are sent out to the users collected at the event welcoming and thanking them for becoming a member of the site.

Internet Global Services, Inc. 09/1999 – 11/2000.
Title: Director of Software Development
Responsibilities included: I designed web sites in HTML, ColdFusion, JavaScript, ASP, perl, jsp, java servlets, perl, and php. I programmed in C++, java, Visual Basic, and Visual C++. I programmed sites that used Access, SQLServer, and MySQL on the backend. Managed NT, IIS, and FTP for the ISVMail server. Also for the ISVMail server, I wrote code in VBScript that utilized ADO to establish a connection to a MySQL database and check for new registrants and if so then it utilized ADSI to create the NT accounts in the NTLM based on the user name and password provided. Then the code used ADSI to interface with the IIS metabase to add an FTP virtual directory for the user and associate it with the NT account created for the user.
Duties/major accomplishments: I worked on a Visual C++ project, called ISVMail, that incorporated MFC, COM, DirectX and DirectX Media, RealProducer SDK, and Windows Media Encoder SDK. This program allowed the end user the ability to record video, and then convert and compress it to Real Media format or Windows Media format. The program then uploaded the video to the ISVMail server from where the recipient of the ISVMail streamed the video into the body of his/her email client. The program also gave the end user other options than just uploading the converted video to the server. This program targeted only Win32 platforms, so I was working on coding ISVMail in java to make it platform independent. I also programmed a Web Email service for a client that utilized C and perl. I also managed two programmers.
Marshill Communications, 06/1998 – 03/1999.
Title: LAN Tech/Webmaster
Responsibilities included: installation and maintenance of NT and Netware networks. I provided phone and on-site technical support for LAN problems, as well as software and hardware problems. I maintained ISP, which included network administration, SMTP, POP3, IIS, DHCP, DNS, and FTP. I did web design in FrontPage 98, Java, and HTML, and provided phone and on-site technical support to clients with web design problems as well as to clients with dial-up networking problems.
