I am a student at Astra Manufacturing Polytechnic majoring in Mechanical Engineering. There are taught the theory and practice with a ratio of 60% practical and 40% theory. We are taught about the theory of engineering mechanics, Strength of Materials, machine elements, production systems, basic manufacturing processes, to Operate manual tool machine such as turning, milling, grinding, assembling and bench work, Operate Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) based tool machine, capable to design with Computerized Aided Design (CAD) and Computerized Aided Manufacture (CAM) capable in measurement and metrology, mould and dies designing, jig and ficture designing.
