Here, the Emergency Medicine department of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center required a database for their research study test blood samples. This graphic representation of individual sample box contents allows clear visualization of samples belonging to the same blood draw, sample type, whether each vial has been re-frozen or partly consumed.

Blood Draw Research Database

This is the iPad mobile component of the FileMaker database used by a roofing installation and repair company. With this tool, sales representatives are able to enter all information collected during an initial on-site visit, including photographs. The particulars of the job, such as specific materials and quantities, is selected and presented immediately for the customer to review, sign the contract electronically and have it emailed back.

This is also the back office system, so project managers have immediate access to current pipeline job information and status. The system also serves as inventory and document management, such as permits.

Project for an independent mineral, crystal and fossil retailer: This inventory database outputs data files used by the client’s online storefront and automatically formats and updates the site with photographic images.

E-Commerce Data Source

From 2003 through 2019, Intelligent Database created, managed and continued to expand capabilities of this system for the major hearing aid retailer, now Hearing Life. This database was initially developed for Mass. Audiology, a small call center in Boston, for the purpose of scheduling sales-oriented hearing tests. Over the course of 15 years, the database evolved and expanded into what has been called a “state-of-the-art software system to enable superior call center performance,” serving many hearing aid centers nation-wide. When these companies were acquired by the multi-national corporation, this key business tool was not only retained, but put to use in a second, large call center in New Jersey. In this context, most other business systems of the acquired companies were replaced.

The internal Information Technology department of this locally-headquartered Pharmaceuticals technology required an technology asset management system. Their particular interest was a tool to help them roll out upgrades for the entire user base. Our solution was a relational database, opening with a main menu that graphically represents the relationship of entities managed. The association between all assets (computers, users, software, printers, locations, etc.) and their related assets is easily viewed and navigated from screen to screen. This system would be ideal for and easily transformed into a mobile version for technicians serving users in an extensive corporate campus.
