A qualitative appraisal of data and information about selected transport interventions generated primarily by beneficiaries, coordinators, and heads of organizations working with MNCH programs was conducted against the CORRECT criteria alongwith qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) techniques. The research suggests to establish effective linkages between community-based models, facility-based models, and public sector emergency services to provide comprehensive coverage.

Secondary data analysis was performed for this research using the nationally representative dataset of the Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey 2012–13. The dietary diversity of infants and young children aged 6–23 months has a modest, nevertheless statistically significant, relationship with sociodemographic characteristics in Pakistan. There is a need for practical efforts to change the behavior of communities to encourage more diverse foods to promote the healthy growth of children.

Continuum of care in maternal, newborn and child health in Pakistan: Analysis of trends, 2006-2012

This study analyses the trends of Continum of care (CoC )at all 3 levels (antenatal care, skilled delivery and postpartum care) and to identify various factors affecting the continuation in receiving CoC in Pakistan during 2006 to 2012.The findings show that women in Pakistan still lack the CoC. This calls for attention to develop and implement tailored interventions, focusing on the needs of women in Pakistan to provide CoC in an integrated manner, involving both public and private sectors.

A robust surveys were conducted by stratified sampling technique by taking 100% samples. 20% sample of basic health units was taken to assess the availability of essential human resource for health to meet the progress of Millennium Development Goal 4 and 5. Study results suggest accelerated provision of essential human resource for health to provide emergency obstetric and new born care to reducematernal and neonatal mortality in the country.

HIV/AIDS Prevention Among Female Sex Workers, Lahore, Pakistan

Although commercial sex is illegal in Pakistan, yet the number of Female Sex Workers is increasing. A mix of multiple interventions involving key stakeholders is beneficial to bring change in knowledge and behavior of community and vulnerable populations. Offering both outreach and drop-in services proved the best way of involving sex-workers and the services would be more effective with this coordinated approach.

Determinants of postnatal care services utilization in Pakistan- insights from (PDHS) 2006-07

Middle East Journal of Scientific Research
This paper investigates the association of PNC services utilization with socio-demographic and delivery assistance related characteristics, using Pakistan Demographic and Heath Survey. Analysis was limited to the last birth in 5 years preceding survey. The research found that women live in developed provincial settings with higher education, living in urban, having fewer children, have more access to health services were more likely to use PNC services.
