I am great in writing everything from (intentionally) dry corporate in-house stuff, product/service copy for catalogs and the web, and even something creative (sci-fi/horror especially!)
Buy my main thing is sales and marketing. First, in sales, I have a simple process that I follow that begins with qualifying the lead. I establish a need for the product or service in a practical sense, then tap into their emotional side and make them want it; go into creating urgency so a decision has to be made soon; trial-close to get any other objections out of the way and finally a close.
Of course, with the internet doing a lot of selling more and more all the time, you may not have a chance to speak with your customer, so you need something different than the typical Facebook/SEO route - that's what your competitors are doing too.
I have some outside-the-line ideas that no one else is using, at least not in concert with one another the way I am. It's time to take a different approach :)
