Illustrated Book »Die Makeup-Marie«
The square formatted, illustrated book is a modern interpretation of the german children's book classic »Der Struwwelpeter« by Heinrich Hoffmann. The book is an hommage to the wild stories of »Der Struwwelpeter« and contains twenty watercolour illustrations. Five of the original book's stories are redesigned and rewritten to fit themes of modern society with not too serious hyperboles and ironic statements on society.
About Me
Hi! Nice to meet you! My name is Lydia and I am an Illustrator from Dorsten, Germany with a love of black ink, quick lines and a lot of whitespace. In 2018 I earned a Bachelor's Degree of Communication Design at Folkwang University in Essen with an illustrated dictionary on dialects. In 2019 I then fulfilled my dream of becoming an illustrator. My illustrations are perfectly suited for any print-product and I try to give my drawings a unique look and lots of personality. If you like my work, feel free to contact me!
