Transfer Point Designer Manual
In an effort to reduce issues with transfer points on conveying equipment, I formed a committee of the most experienced Engineers at FLSmidth MHNA, gathered there expertise, and wrote up the Transferpoint Designer Manual which provides specific guidance on what kinds of chutes should be used for different kinds of materials to be conveyed.
Bolted Connection Specification
The purpose of this specification was to spell out FLSmidth MHNA's standards pertaining to bolted connections. Standardization of bolted connections brought consistency to the way bolted connections were specified on drawings, spelled out how to properly tighten structural bolted connections and identified practices that were not permitted because of the risk associated with those practices.
