Hey there we are looking for some knowledge on My SQL and API. I am a web developer but I need some help. We are trying to get setup with a dropshipping program that one of our competitors has available for us. They are an online smoke shop and we are too. In order for us to use their dropshipping program they are requesting an API key from our woocommerce shopping cart and access to our My SQL username and password but we are not sure to provide them with the My SQL username and password for security purposes and also because they are our competitor. We want to make sure that they don't integrate something that can track us and our data. So what we are looking for is a way where we can set up with their drop shipping program integration without giving them access to our My SQL login credentials and if possible no editing from our My SQL database . They are not a drop shipping firm, they are an ecommerce website just like ours and so we need some sort of protection because once we get our inventory, we will stop with their dropshipping program. We are afraid that if we grant them access they might enter a code strip where they will be able to track all that we do and also get ahold of our important data after leaving their drop shipping program. We want to grant them access to integrate with us but when we leave them we don't want any of their integrations or adjustments to exist within our My SQL database. If there are other better methods of integrating that I dont know of feel free to reach out to us.
