A D2C luxury fashion marketplace platform that connects new designers (sellers) with online shoppers (buyers) for selling and buying fashion items
This platform is targeted towards the designers themselves through giving them voice and exposure and support in their marketing operations and puts them on the radar of upscale offline retailers for further expansion.
The proposed solution will offer a world-class user experience to both sellers and buyers while they are selling self-designed clothes and buying exclusive items at a reasonable price.
The website will mainly target Europe and ME for designers and buyers.
The website will support English and Arabic languages and several currencies (EUR, GBP, AED, USD)
Stage 1: At the moment, there are no products available to showcase on the website, as we are still recruiting designers. For this reason, as a first step the website will solicit applications from designers and stylists to join the community. The homepage should have a fashionable look and feel and have sign in links to pages where each designer can fill out a form with details for registering themselves, this registration would need to be viewed and validated by an admin (website founders), similar thing for the stylist page
Stage 2: eCommerce platform
In order to sell an item on the website, designer will have to:
- Create identity by providing title, name, style, billing information and other useful information in order to create designer as an entity in the web site. This should be approved by admin.
- Upload items information (pictures, price etc).
- Select preferred payment method.

♣ Designer gets access to statistical information about their items, number of
♣ Designer gets notified via email when items are sold.
♣ In case buyer didn’t return items within the defined time frame, seller receives their revenue (it’s transferred to his account, or it’s a bank cheque, whatever was agreed on when designer created his account). The transfer can happen after every successful operation or once per month whatever was agreed on when designer created his account.
The main workflow for buyer is the following:
♣ Log in/sign up on website (this step can be done during checkout)
♣ Search for required item, filter by designer, category, size, color, price
♣ Add item (-s) to shopping cart
♣ Continue shopping or proceed to checkout
♣ Log in, create an account or checkout as a guest
♣ Provide billing and shipping addresses, contact details, select preferred delivery and payment methods, pay online (unless cash on delivery is not selected)
♣ Receive reference and refund codes to track purchased item and to refund it in case user is not satisfied with it (available only for certain users)
♣ Buyer can use promo codes, coupons if promotions are available.
♣ Buyer can add items to Wish list, remove them, proceed to checkout from Wish list.
♣ Shopping cart and Wish list will be saved in user’s account or browser sessions (in case user is visiting as guest) if user does not proceed to checkout.
♣ Buyer can refund items within 7 (TBD) days after purchase. To return an item user needs to enter refund code (which was sent with an item) and other details if changed (address, contact number etc.)
