Fluid Dynamics - Material Conveying (Air Conveying) - Air injection into pipe/tubing

Need to inject ~0.25" spheres (from atmospheric) into a ~20mph flow in a 5/8"ID tube. The tube flow is generated from a blower fan or similar source, which can be located anywhere. The 5/8" tube will travel for about 24" before the air flow and spheres will be ejected into atmosphere.
The spheres are singulated and will have ~6" of spacing between them, so they will not have a major interfering effect on the flow.
Have attempted multiple methods of doing this, including a venture nozzle, and always end up with back flow (air traveling backward up the sphere injection line. Preferably, I would like a neutral or induced inflow traveling in the direction of the spheres into the 20mph flow. It is OK to "waste" air if needed to ensure we are not pushing back (preferably pushing in) on the spheres as they enter the flow.
