We are interested in developing a script that will create a convex hull representation of a 3D model inside 3DSMax 9 (must be compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions). The script will build the convex hull based on one of the following: The current selection, a named selection set or a per-layer basis (cycling through all layers in the MAX file). We are mostly interested in the per-layer basis option mentioned above, as many of our models are separated by layer. The script should have a GUI that allows the user to select an option which would union all of the convex hulls resulting from the per-layer basis into a single continuous mesh.
