Hello sir/ma'am, I have worked on SDN controllers like ODL and ONOS in my previous job. I have experience simulating topologies using Mininet and controlling the switches using ODL. I have couple of working solutions ready for ODL that I can share with you for deeper understanding. o We used OpenDaylight as the SDN Controller . o We used OpenvSwitch as the virtual switch that will be controller by the Open Daylight SDN Controller. o we will simulate DDoS attacks. • In this setup we will be using only Iptables (Linux standard Firewall) on the Server to detect DDoS traffic and a simple python script that is running on the server to retrieve IP address of DDoS users from iptables logs and then communicate with the REST API of the OpenDaylight to stop these DDoS IP addresses. • The OpenDaylight will transform the REST API call coming from the Server to openflow that it will use to program the OpenvSwitch to drop the DDoS traffic. -i will share the code and small report
