PyQt Basic User Interface with Pictures

I would like to have a script which shows a UI (no push commands whatsoever). This UI must show pictures from a specific folder with given time periods. It'll look like a slideshow or timelapse video. The screen should be divided into two pieces, in once piece, there must be a stationary picture. On the other side, the slideshow must take place. This script should be a PyQt script. I'll provide more specific information during the project realization.
