Some of applications was for big company (telecom industry), some of them are for small business. Purpose of applications was for pos, hr, crm or accounting. I have bachelor CS degree , 22 oracle certified courses and certificate for web development form University in Chicago. For this project I can make solution based on mysql or firebird database, GUI will be developed in Borland C++ IDE. For reports I will use FastReport. Please share VM file. Hi, I have more than 20 years experience in software and database development. I did numerous projects converting old legacy databases and applications to .NET platform. If you select me I'll develop new application in C#, with MS SQL Server database server. I can develop it as either desktop or web application depending on your preference. If you choose desktop option, I would suggest to develop it as N-Tier application with back-end database server and application server (installed on the server computer) and client application which would be installed on pc/laptop. That way you would still be able to connect to your database both from office over LAN and out of the office from anywhere if you have Internet connection, while keeping all conveniences of real desktop application. Hi there, I am new to freelancer from Australia. You project sounds really cool and what caught me was the Borland (I remember good old Borland Turbo C++ 1.0). My price might be way outside your budget but your project sounds like a lot of work to me. Since you don't have the original binaries we would be almost implementing from scratch. You do have the database tables and data but that is about all you have. I would suggest moving to maybe the Postgress DB (it is open source and free). I would implement the project in QT (modern, portable, open source and extremely functional API for GUI/database/networking/etc). It will be a database GUI application with some reports. I would complement you in that you are very wise to get a Virtualbox image of the server.

I would love to write this application for you. I will use software that's free. For example, using a SQL Express back end will give you the same speed and agility without the hefty license fee. The front end will be written in .NET and will be very user friendly. With this solution you'll receive an end to end demo, reference manual, and support until your comfortable with the system. In addition, all of the source code will be fully commented so you can make adjustments to the system in the future if needed. I have not completed any exams on here yet, but trust me you'll be in great hands. Currently I'm a Software Engineer and work with databases totaling 32 billion dollars on a daily basis.
