Design and control of a multi-link robot system -
This project aims to design a multi-link robot and a control system such that the robot can be controlled to finish a given task, for example, to pick up an object located at a given point and move it to a specified area, or automatically detect the object and the specified area then complete the task. Basic modelling and model-based analysis and control may be required using Matlab. The robot system should be interfaced with a computer. A few motors are required to control different robot arms. Sensors are needed to detect the arm’s position and angle velocity (if required). PCB have to be designed to control the voltages sent to the motors which is used to control the robotic arms so that the robotic arms can move as expected to finish the given task. Software is necessary to implement the control scheme, and the sensor data should be shown on computer preferably online (real time) using the LabVIEW programming environment or the other platforms.
You should have ability in hardware and software development/design. It will be an advantage if you have basic control system knowledge and mathematical background.
