Hello
I was particularly interested in the topic of obsessive compulsive disorder behaviour and anxiety and from a personal point of view, I have a good idea of some of the problems you have gone through. I am also aware that this is not an 'illness' with a specific set of symptoms - I know that the footballer David Beckham suffers from OCD, but to a lesser degree than others who are barely able to function normally.
While I have minor traits of the ailment - having to go back three times to check you locked the front door - I have a better understanding of how anxiety can manifest itself in so many different ways - mine manifests itself in a moderate form of agoraphobia, where I am unable to travel long distances.
This is a major project and considerable research will be required, together with innumerable conversations on Skype to include your personal history with OCD and anxiety. Unfortunately this means that the initial budget you have placed is going to be too low, but I wanted to introduce myself as I felt I was in an ideal position to help write a book that is totally credible.
In addition, I appreciate it takes tremendous courage to lay your soul bare to a total stranger and I wanted to reassure you that in having such a personal understanding of how 'mental illness' can affect us all in different ways, you would only receive empathy and encouragement from me rather than a lack of understanding, which is all too common.
Kind Regards
David Dundas
