Modify a Python code for checking port on Socks 5 proxy server

I need a Python expert to modify/fix a Python script for checking if a specific port is open on Socks 5 proxies . The script already has a working module that does exactly the same thing for HTTPS/CONNECT proxy. I just need the same module implemented and modified to work for Socks 5 protocol. Please note that the script is running on my CENTOS server and you must have the experience to SSH to the server and modify the script from the server directly.
