Wordpress Website Homepage Slow When Modules Enabled

Our Wordpress website home page is slowed dramatically when the slideshow and the live chat are enabled. When enabled the usage on the database spikes to red levels. Please I need you to figure out and fix what causes the website to slow when the modules are enabled. Functional Requirements: 1. The main page of [login to view URL] to load at normal speed when the slideshow and live chat are enabled. 2. The issue must be corrected. Not a cache program installed. Please tell me how you will go about correcting this. Background: 24 hours ago our main page was slow to connect but the modules worked correctly. Today, I woke up this morning and the homepage was so slow it was nearly un-useable. I started removing plugins from the home page. After removing the chat the home page sped up slightly. After additionally removing the slideshow the homepage became useable again. The confusion is only the homepage is affected when the modules are enabled (all other pages remained ok the entire time & still remain ok now). There are no other plugins/modules running on the main page to disable. I find it hard to believe that both the live chat and the slideshow plugins went bad at the same time. There has to be something else causing this. It will be your job to find it and fix it. I want this fixed within 24 hours max work time.
