I need to automate some online work. I have a used car dealership. I receive credit application online from a form on my website where customer fill out the needed information to apply for an auto loan for the car they would like to buy. Once customer submit the application, I get an email with a txt file attached. TXT has the info the customer submitted. Then I log in to a third party website, to which I have my own log in. I fill the customer information manually then I choose the leander I want to send the application to.
What I need is:
I need to convert the txt to a csv.
(I can do that manually if I have txt attachment in google drive by importing txt to spreadsheet then from google sheet I can download it as csv.) I convertit to csv because later I want to fill the bank form with this data to submit to the lender.
But I don't want to manually do that. I want a code to convert it to csv automatically as soon as I get the email!.
(Once that is done , I need to automate the process of submitting it to the bank.)
I want a code or way to log in automatically to the website I use to submit the leander. when I log in, i want to go the a new application page. In that page, there is a form. I want the code to feed the customer information to it. It's a 4 pages form. Fill up the first page then click next then it takes to the send page ....... till I fill up the 4th one a click select lender. Then it takes me to a page has the leander I deal with. I choose the leander I want to send the application to.
All the information need to fill out the form in the txt file I get in the email.
I need that to be done automatically with my doing any manual work.
I have been reading on how that can be done because I kind of know where to start, I would just need to do a lot of research to get it done since I don't really know exactly how.
If it helps I will share what I came up to do it. You can use that way or if you can think of any other way as long as it gets the job done!
I would create a new gmail account and forward all the online application I get to it. Then, through a google script, save the attachment to Google drive as a .txt. Through Google sheets script, import the txt file to a spreadsheet and save it as csv.
Using Autoit, automate the login to the website where i can submit the customer info to the lender. Once I log in, it would go to the new application page where the the first page of the form is. then will fill out the form using the date from the csv file and click on next until goes through all the pages and clicks next to go to the page where the list of the lenders are. csv fill has a unique value to represent each leander. Then a laender will be chosen and submitted to that bank.
** you can skip the whole transfire from gmail to Google Drive the from txt to csv if there is a better way that you know.
I have gotten in touch with a local compony and a company online who can do the job just how I want it. A friend of mine told not to sign up right away before looking through here and see may be some else has different way to get the job done.
I have more and more work I need to done and a build up on top of this project. the up coming work would include, just to name some, web programming, mobile creation and design, cloud hosting and backups, .
I'm looking for a long term relationship. Once this project is done, more work will provided.
Documentation is needed in case I need to outsource some work somewhere else. providing a timeline and sticking to it!
A txt file would be provided and more info that needed after we chat about it to make sure we are not wasting each other time.
