1. Copy the MsSQL database with it's all fields and all tables;
2. And Stored them into MySQL database;
This two tasks I need to complete. But before make any commitment or start working, I will prefer if I get a chance to check both the databases; If you have any issue to share the database, can share your screen with me. so that I can check the databases once.
Regarding data insert from MS SQL to MySQL, It will be better if I Create a linked server that will allow to write and Query data from MsSQl using stored procedures in MsSQL; LinkedServer and OPENQUERY could be good, if you are moving not too much records per cycle.
The INSERT is a bit tricky with OPENQUERY:
INSERT INTO OPENQUERY (MSSQL, 'SELECT * FROM MSSQL_Table')
SELECT * FROM dbo.SQLServer_Table
OR
INSERT INTO OPENQUERY (MSSQL, 'SELECT * FROM MSSQL_Table')
VALUES ('Value1', 'Value2', ...)
In case of move lots of data (like thousands or millions of rows)- Integration Services Package is a good solution; I can schedule them with SQL Server Agent.
Now your decision is most important for me; Please let me know which time be convenient for you to have a discussion with me. I will make my planning accordingly. Hoping to have a prompt and affirmative response by your end.
