Rebuild my website to Wordpress + a few new features

The project is to transform [login to view URL] to a wordpress platform on our VPS.
There will be colour changes and I need to be able to update the sliders on the home page (I have decent wordpress knowledge).
The best way for someone to quote is to subscribers, so they can see what the site is meant to do. The sharing access feature is most important. Privacy most important. And we'd prefer it to be more 'pop up' info rather than site like which I'm sure would be recommended anyway. More features to come in the future so we must be able to expand the site and allow people to make fuller profiles, perhaps even use a basic body graphic to pinpoint information etc
We want to be able to get in and test alot before we go public. Essential to have the current database come across 100% and not lose anyone's info.
