Php script to load Excel data to MySQL

Questions are welcome, but only after you read the scope of work in detail. =============================================================== I need to develop a generic php script ([login to view URL]) that will read an excel file from a sub folder and load it into a mysql database based on the structure definition given in the ini file. This script will be used to upload various data that I am receiving from my suppliers. 1) I need to call the script with the subfolder parameter (example: [login to view URL]). The script should check the foldername and find a matching ini file in the root. For example, if the folder name is "folder1", then the ini file would be "[login to view URL]". A sample file structure is given below. Both formats should be read. 3) The ini file contains the structure of the data to be uploaded. The script needs to check the ini file and understand the data structure before updating the database. A sample ini file is given below. The table_name to which the upload needs to happen is the first section of the ini file. The second section lists the columns to be updated. The key on the left is the column name in the table while the value on the right is the column name on the spreadsheet. The column names will always be on the first row of the spreadsheet. Only columns given in the ini file should be read and updated in the table. All other columns in the spreadsheet can be ignored. If the excel file has failed (even one record) then it should be moved to the Error folder using transaction control. A brief log of how many records has been updated and the error details (if any) should be created in the logs folder. The log file should be date/ time stamped. 6) The script needs to be able to support upto 25 columns. The script needs to be able to support upto 1000 rows in a spreadsheet. The excel data will always be in the first worksheet in the excel workbook. 7) The database connection parameters must be configurable at the top of the script. 8) Good error handling is a must to ensure all error scenarios are covered.
