Mobile Chat Service

Build a mobile chat service that will facilitate person to person messaging. Many to One messaging in a live stream. Purchasing, storing, sending and receiving "stickers'

Java based - prefer to use Atmosphere framework ([url removed, login to view])

- P2P functionality (one to one)

- Group Functionality (many to many)

- Many to One Instream Functionality (Multiple people can chat with the Broadcaster during live video)

- A mechanism to prioritize ability to chat based on status level and/or total amount tipped (spent)

- frontend mobile-app integration provided as library/sdk

- demo frontend/client on mobile

- ability to save/store chat history in a local database from backend (use postgres) by user and timestamp

- ability to adjust prioritization parameters for a given chat session based on per-user parameters (supplied when user joins chat)

- block/mute users

- kick users out (via command line/api?)

- json-based, utf8 message/protocol type between backend and clients

- call external API to notify recipient of message if not already online in chat (to be provided by us)

- pictures/video upload

o process pictures (rotate/resize/rescale as needed)

o process videos (rotate/resize/rescale/transcode to standard video format (mp4/[url removed, login to view])

o upload to Amazon S3 for storage after processing
