Fix an existing Wordpress Plugin

I have an old Wordpress plugin where part of the function doesn't work anymore in Chrome and Firefox. The plugin developer cannot be reached.
It is a Wordpress Custom taxonomies search & filter system with an Ajax slider built in for the widget area.
There are 2 requirements for this project:
- Update the included 3rd party js libraries to current latest version.
- Resolve described bug to ensure the plugin works as expected in Edge, Chrome & Firefox
Plugin will be provided via github along with sample website for testing.
Developer will need to download project and work in their own environment.
