Automatic Message-on-payment Application for eBay/Amazon/etsy This application must listen for incoming orders from eBay, Amazon and etsy accounts, extract specific information from these orders, and send an automatic message to EITHER the user email address (supplied by the marketplace) the user account on the relevant marketplace, OR both. These options must be configurable for each added marketplace account. The required information to extract is: Product SKU Marketplace username Marketplace email address (if available) Quantity ordered The SKU will then be filtered through a pre-existing database, consisting of 3 columns (currently) – “Product Name”, “SKU regex match” and “Message” – we have an existing interface for editing this database but it could use some improvement. Depending on the product SKU, the application will then select an appropriate automatic message to send. This automatic message may have “placeholder” terms which will be auto-replaced by previously extracted information (such as the customer username on the marketplace). Depending on the configuration attached to this marketplace, this message will be sent either as a message to the customer on that marketplace, AND/OR to the customer email address extracted from the incoming order. We have an existing tool which performs this function for eBay, the details of which we will share with the successful applicant, but we need its’ reliability and functionality to be expanded. Amazon and etsy development will need to be entirely original, and possibly a creative solution devised.
