I am needing a custom component coded for Joomla. A system similar to DocMan, but with specific requirements.
-I have a current database (Microsoft Access) of users that need to be imported with temporary passwords. Once imported a email should be sent to allow the users to set up a new password.
-The system would consist of "Projects" that hold files (images, documentation, etc.)
-Users would have restricted access to certain projects as decided by the site administrator. Administrators should be able to set these permissions individually by user or user group.
-When a new Project is created, administrators will have the option to send out an email (automatically) with details about the new project to all users or to select user groups.
-A log of Project access should be available to administrators, in order to see when projects, files, etc. were accessed and by which users.

Do you need all files uploaded to be viewable in the browser? This can get pretty tricky with lots of different file types.
