Big Commerce Category Filter

Big Commerce Category Filter Describe Your Project; We are looking to expand the functionality of our BigCommerce based website. We sell tractor parts. In this world, just like cars and other autos, parts are found through Make & Model Filtering. Our data set is currently set up as; Parent Category = Make (Approx. 300 categories) Sub Category = Model (Approx. 15,000 categories) We currently have roughly 15,000 categories total, and we need to develop a 2 step category filter, Make and then Model. This Part Filter will be using our current category set. The following link is a great example on a Big Commerce Website of what we are looking for, minus the year filter. In our case the Year is not of value. [login to view URL] This example is a scrolling drop down, and the only other feature we would like to add to it would be the ability to filter down the drop down choices by beginning to type the Brand or Model. (see attached image) This Category filter would be made on a test/sandbox website, and we WILL need the ability to transfer to the final website.
