Google Chromecast is a cool device. You can cast anything from your Chrome browser. They recently added the option to Cast your Windows Desktop and all you do on it. However, to do this, you have to run Chrome, then click on the casting icon in the upper right hand corner. Then select from the drop down option in the upper right hand corner the option "Screen Cast" and it will mirror your desktop. This is not difficult but it there was a way to make a small program that when it was run it would do the following
1. Run Chrome Browser and select all the options to enable screen cast'
2. In our Windows based software, we would have a button that when selected would run this routine. Either as an exe or a dll
Our product is written in Visual C...
This could also be handled via Javascript... but we want to keep it very small and easy to use. One option is that when selected if Chrome browser was not installed. it would bring back a message stating Chrome not installed...
if this project worked I would be interested in doing the same thing for Roku another casting product like Chrome.
