This is an inbound and outbound IVR system to replace two legacy systems. We have flow charts and pseudo code describing the functionality of the applications It involves answering calls, playing prompts, receiving touchtone input and/or speech input using Natural Language Understanding, placing calls, and using TTS to playback information. We can provide project specifications to developers capable of taking on this project. To simplify matters, the project can be described as follows: Our Responsibility: Our company will handle all back-end aspects of this application, meaning, we will provide SQL Server Stored Procedures for the developer to obtain and write all information to the database. The developer will not need to worry about this aspect of the project. Overall Configuration: Receives and makes calls via SIP protocol. Calls actually originate on PSTN/TDM but they are transparently converted via a Media Gateway to SIP (inbound and outbound). System will use only standards-based, non-proprietary technology including: VoiceXML 2.0 speech/IVR media VoiceXML 2.1 extensions CCXML 1.0 call control SRGS 1.0 speech grammars SSML 1.0 speech markup SISR speech semantic interpretation SPEECHSC MRCP Draft

## Deliverables

We will be using a VoiceXML/CCXML platform and we're currently leaning toward Voxeo but Gensys and some more obscure companies are possibilities for actual deployment. To simplify matters, all development can be done using the Voxeo Prophecy platform which is free for a 2-port developer license at: [url removed, login to view] We ask that CallXML not be used in the program. Individual Applications Within Overall Configuration: 1. A system similar to a Calling Card System that connects two people. Optionally the call can be recorded. When calls ends, system has chain dialing that allows caller to call another number. 2. A "Follow Me" System that answers incoming calls, accepts some input from the caller, and then attempts to reach another person by dialing their phone numbers simultaneously or one-at-a-time until the person answers and confirms via voice or touchtone input. Callers are then connected. Calls can optionally be recorded via a database write from a website or touchtone or voice input from the caller. If a call can't be connected to the person or the person elects not to accept, the call is placed into voicemail. 3. A "Voice Mail" and Call Detail Retrieval System. Accepts calls and receives login information. Caller is able to play back voice mails and their call activity via TTS. System uses Natural Language Understanding and we have a complete "Dialog Specification" written by a former employee of Nuance. This system is very well documented with sample dialogues, slot definition information, etc. Callers can say things like "Play my voice mails from yesterday" and the system will understand and react. This system does not need to be developed using the Nuance engine. We just began developing some of this system inhouse. We are interested in outsourcing some parts of the development or entire Applications like 1, 2, or 3. 3 is an especially good candidate for outsourcing and it's thorough documentation should be enough to complete the entire project. Next Steps: Provide information and preferably phone numbers of systems you have previously developed. Describe your real-world experience and how your involvement would help us. We will then provide an NDA and detailed documentation to qualified candidates. Budget Range provided is an estimate for each Application: 1, 2., and/or 3. Sincerely, UST Incorporated 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
