OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE NEW MUSIC PORTAL - LEEDS BASED WEB DEVELOPER/PROGRAMMER NEEDED
We need someone who lives and breathes music (and web development), is as passionate about this project as we are, and will be willing to do the bulk of the work in spare time, unpaid until the site turns a revenue (genuine opportunity to be involved in a new venture, happy to split profits and shares).....must be based in Leeds or surrounding areas
We are building an online music portal for local unsigned bands in the Leeds and West Yorkshire area (plans to roll out nationwide - Leeds is test case).
We have a team based in Leeds working on this project in our spare time (meeting every week or so). A local ad agency has agreed to complete all creative work in return for referrals from the site (and is currently working on logos/creative for site and marketing/promotional materials)...many venues are already aware of the venture and have expressed interest in signing up, we've brought a number of contributors on board who are heavily linked with the local music scene, directory/resource databases are almost ready to upload, marketing & events for launch is already organised, strategies for increasing traffic and website value are underway... the only missing link is someone (or a number of people) to build & develop the site - both back-end programming and on-page web build.
go to [url removed, login to view] for more info (this is just the template site from host company, but it does include some more information about what we're trying to achieve)
If you are interested in getting involved in any way (even if you cant do the whole project but could contribute to certain sections), please get in touch - the more the merrier! Full details for shares opportunities etc. can be discussed further.
We want to create a central portal collating all the info, links, gig listings, media from myspace, youtube, soundcloud, twitter, facebook, bands/artists own websites and other online resources into one site (hosting not required - already sorted). Venues can book artists, artists can develop their talent, skills & knowledge through resources and directories as well as collaborate on projects with other members of the site, local professionals (sound engineers, tutors, equipment suppliers etc) can all advertise their services, the guy down the road with his own recording equipment can help the guy up the road record his first ever song, the girl in the next town is amazing on violin but wants a project to work on, the band a few miles away needs a backing singer and sound engineer for an upcoming local gig - this is THE site to bring everyone in the local music community together and show off their talent!
Want to get involved? Bid the minimum amount!
