Hello, We currently run an oscommerce / creloaded web site platform and sell our items on [login to view URL] . Sales on these items are downloaded to our oscommerce store every few minutes and are linked to the correct skus in our database. What I would like to be able to do is have a tool in oscommerce which can run as a cron script every hour etc to check how our prices on Amazon compare to those of our competitors for the same product, and then adjust our prices according to a set of pre defined rules for minimum and maximum prices. The tool should include: The option to specify a minimum price at which a specific item should not go below. The option to increase prices up to a set amount where there is little competition on a specific product. The tool should include the postage price of the item from the seller as well to give a comparison on the total price. The item should then be repriced to be 1p lower than the price of our cheapest competitor Should take into account the "condition" of the item - we only sell new items, therefore prices from sellers who's items are 2nd hand etc can be ignored. As the script runs, I would like it to show the prices from each competitor and what it suggests to change our prices to, and have an option to "dummy run" the suggestions, and then turn on the actual price changes. This is just for testing purposes, once we're happy it's performing correctly we will leave it turned on and set it to run via cron. ie: Example #1: Widget A - Our Price £10 plus £5 postage (£15 total) Competitor number 1: £9 plus £5 postage (£14 total) Competitor number 2: £11 plus £4 postage (£15 total) So lowest price equals £14 in total, our postage price is set to £5, so £14 less £5 equals £9. To be cheaper than our competitor we need to drop another 1 penny, so our price should be updated to £8.99 Example #2: Widget B - Our price £10 plus £5 postage (£15 total) Competitor number 1: £12 plus £5 postage (£17 total) Competitor number 2: £13 plus £4 postage (£17 total) We are already the lowest price, but we are perhaps too low? General rule says to increase prices up to 10% from their base price, therefore increase our price of £10 by 10% so it's £11 then add on postage to make it £16, is it still cheapest ? yes. If not, price it so it's 1p below the lowest price of my competitor. We have all cost prices of items stored in our database, therefore we can set a limit of say cost price x 1.5 as the absolute bottom price, and an upper limit of say cost price x 2.1 as the top price. I believe some of this can be done via the Amazon product API's , although you will need to check whether the competitors postage price information is available in this feed or whether it needs to be scrapped from screen or something similar. We currently use the Amazon SellerCentral SOAP API to download orders and update amazon with stock information, but there may be other api's which can be used. Any questions please let me know , I can do basic php, but don't understand SOAP API's etc and don't have the time to learn.
