The computer programme must be written in VB6- i have included all the details in a zip file with diagrams. This programmed has been started but needs to be completed- i have designed the visual interface, & started some coding which will need changing. The computer is connected to a model crane through an I/O port connected to the computer. I have included all the inputs / outputs used for the crane to move the two motors (up/down) (left/right)- the crane picks up the cargo through the use of a magnet (which also needs an output)- this is just a model crane. Scenario - a lorry arrives AT a warehouse, the driver gives the paperwork to the warehouse operator. The operator chooses 2 of 5 options from a visual interface - Lorry Size (small/large) & Goods Type (TV's, Comps, Hi-Fi's). He then presses the start button which starts the programme. The crane goes to the lorry- picks up its cargo & dumps it in the appropriate cargo bay (1,2, or 3) depending on what type of cargo it is. The cargo on that particular truck is the same. once the cargo has been collected the programme finishes. The programme must be able to pickup 1 pallet from the lorry, carry it to the cargo area & drop it & repeat until all 3 pallets have been delivered. This should take a pro no time at all & must be completed by 6.00 AM GMT URGENT! The crane uses a counter for every rotation in order to measure the travel along the X Axis - this might be called "pulsecount" with a value used for each rotation e.g. pulsecount = 10 would mean 10 rotations. Attached with the programme is a form "NTUPort"- this is the form which send the commands from the computer to the port & then to the crane- this is complete & does not require any changes! Remember that this programme must run fully automatically from pressing the start button - If possible could you makethe emergency stop button & reset button work as well? The crane has to travel futher along the x axis for each pallet as they are placed side by side- not on top of each other! The crane must return to its original position once the programme is finished.
