PHP+mySQL Developer for Google Maps/YouTube/flickr/RSS Mashup

Please go into detail on how you will go about developing this project, we are not interested in how many languages you know or how many developers you have, keep your bid as relevant as possible to the project. ----------------- We require the creation of a PHP and mySQL application (single page) that integrates a number of popular web services (Google Maps, flicker, You Tube). Each of these has its own API/format, so it is a plus if you have experience with one or more. The application will be a proof of concept for a real-time news website with strong social media integration. For this demo, we need to pull in stories from Reuter's international news RSS feed and populate a Google Maps panel with "pins," one per story. Additionally, we need to be able to click on the map panel and manually add a story at the specified location with (i) a title and (ii) a description. Stories will be listed in a "feed"-like panel beneath the map panel. This feed must update without posting back when a user adds a story. The application will need to use AJAX techniques to "cycle" between the stories on the map, with the ability to "pause" on a particular story so that the associated media can be viewed (see the attached screenshot) in the media "capsule." Each story will be an entry in a mySQL database, and needs to have (at least) a title, location, date/time, and description associated with it, as well as a list of social media (the way you implement this is at your discretion; we recommend having a different table for each media source and using foreign keys, to provide for extensibility). The focus of this project is to develop a prototype. We are not obsessed with layout and style, though clean and style-able HTML is a major plus and will be rewarded with a bonus. ## Deliverables Please contact us through the site if you need any clarifications.
