I am trying to create a very flexible interface for users to post items. I am very interested by the approach google has used on google base. They allow their users to create “on the fly?? as many fields as the users want to best describe their item. The way I figured they did this is by creating a data table for each input type (text, check box, number, etc…) and each of these tables have the following fields item_id, label, value.
Anyways, I would be looking to create something similar
Recap of project.
1 - One page to list items
2 - One page to add items
Each item have the following common attributes
Each item can have unlimited optional attributes
…. other fields like google base
3 - One page to edit the items
I will be asking the coder to describe in 3-4 lines what approach he will use to accomplish this. Keep in minde that it is important that you check out google base in order to fully understand what I am talking about.
This is a Ruby on Rails project

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
