CSS Pro to add a column for sidebar ads on website

I have an existing website and template which we like. But, I want to add a sidebar to the page to run adsense ads on the left column. , and if it can be done, possibly even on the right column. (I can easily add div's to run banner ads elsewhere in the layout, just haven't figured out how to add a column!) Bonus: add a top "announcement" bar where site announcements and messages may go. Website is based on a modified snews CMS , layout is CSS styled, so all we really need is mainly the CSS styling and location to add HTML code to add a left column sidebar which will carry one or more google adsense ads. Project is relatively simple for a CSS design pro to do. We want to see what we're gonna get before we buy it, and as it is a simple project that for a CSS design expert probably takes only a few minutes to whip something up - Colors don't matter, it's the column and layout that we need.
