I'm developing a digital signage presentation for a Real Estate office. LCD screens will be mounted in the office windows facing out for passers-by to view some of the offices' featured house listings. There are roughly 12 agents working in the office and each will need to display one featured listing. I have digital signage software that allows me to place SWF and HTML pages in a timeline. I need the digital signage system to be 'self-serve' in the sense that the office secretary can change the listings as easy as cutting-and-pasting a series of URL's of the listings from [[login to view URL]][1] into an XML or text file via a CMS (which I have in place already). I will have the 12 pages (URL's) placed in a timeline within the digital signage software. Each will display for a short interval and then display the next. Everytime the page is displayed it is reloaded, and therefor will be instantly updated when the secretary makes her changes to the XML/text file using the CMS. ## Deliverables So this is what I need the code you'll write for me to do: My client will access a CMS (which edits an XML or text file) and they will paste in URL's for their 12 listings they grabbed from the [[login to view URL]][2] website. A piece of software or code you create then reads these URL's and generates the 12 pages to be displayed but ONLY with specific data from the URL's. The ONLY items I need from the 12 URL's will include: 1. The main picture of the house 2. 2-3 other pictures of the house if available 3. The picture of the agent 4. Basic features of the house (info to the right of the photo) 5. 'General Description' text paragraph of the house (below the photo) There is a lot of extra content on the page that doesn't need to be shown so can be ignored. So the real challenge I think lies in your ability to be able to grab ONLY the elements above that I've listed -- and then populate them into an HTML webpage or Flash file of a suggested pixel dimension of 800x600. This then will be displayed in a single zone within a multi-zoned screen presentation. Here is a sample listing I just randomly chose from [[login to view URL]][2] : <[login to view URL]> An important feature as well is to allow the secretary to add as many listings as she'd like and your code will simply generate as many pages as it finds URL's in the text file. What would be actually even better though come to think of it would be that your code generates ALL the listings into a single file that displays each house listing for say 10-20 seconds and then continues to cycle to the next and then repeat. This way then all I'd have to place in the timeline for the digital signage presentation would be this single URL. So if one day she has only 3 listings to post and the next day 14, it would still be only 1 file in the timeline to display. Looking for a clean and simple solution then. I would prefer the file to be Flash as my signage software caches SWF files and not HTML. Flash will also allow nicer transitions between the listings and maybe also some light animation of the content (house picture sliding in from left, agent's photo zooming in, drop shadows, etc.)
