Hello,
I have a local Access database comprising of 10 tables. I want to export the data in these 10 tables to a *remote* MySQL database whilst retaining the table structures.
New data is added to the Access database regularly so I will need to export the new data frequently - advice on how best to do this would be appreciated. (I imagine a SQL script of some kind?...)
However, I do not believe my ISP has granted me the correct permissions to connect to the MySQL database remotely - (I may be wrong but my ISP has not got back to me and this is urgent!) I'm pretty sure there must be a workaround. I do have access to phyMyAdmin.
Thanks.
**_UPDATE_
**My ISP has said I do not have the necessary privileges to connect to the mySQL server remotely :(
However, I have now managed to solve much of problem myself by exporting the Access data as a sql file and importing it with phpMyAdmin. May not be elegant, but it works ;)
**A couple of issues I still need answers to:**
(i) I used a trial version third-party software to extract the Access database into a sql file. Does Access itself have such a feature? I've looked but couldn't find it.
(ii) I still need advice about how to export any new data.
Thanks.
