We have designed a new advanced oxidation commercial water treatment unit.
Since this is a commercial unit, we need to use PCB board for the control of the pumps and valves and also monitor the unit.
I will provide detailed process and instrumentation diagram and control narrative for the right people.
We also need to use a simple touch screen to allow the user to click to dispense water from the unit and also display some information about the unit on this screen.
in total thee will be about 20 digital inputs, 20 digital outputs, 5 analogue inputs, and two analogue outputs.
We are looking for a simple and cost effective way of building and control system, so the designer need to consider this is the design.
Future requirement is connectivity to mud-bus and the internet.

This process can be automated simply with a standard PLC. I propose to design an S7-1200 PLC based solution which is able to handle the I/O of the project and also support modbus for future improvements.
