BBVA Global Risk Management is looking to recruit for its Global Markets Risk Unit a Senior Analyst. The team seeking the candidate gives support and solutions to projects related with Risk Measurement across multiple asset classes including interest rates, credit, foreign exchange, equity, funds and commodities in different aspects of them, from a financial, methodological, programming and quantitative perspective. The team also drives technological and digital transformation in the area following corporate strategy. The successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in a broad range of activities, including: Work with the team to respond to risk measurement related requests by other departments within the unit or external, prepare clear and concise reports/presentations for the senior management. Participate actively on the pipeline of cross departmental projects from a consultancy and/or development perspective. Model development, documentation and implementation, discussion with traders, methodologists and other players. Maintain and exploit corporate risk databases. Construct, evaluate and improve data quality indicators. Extract knowledge from data. Analyze and monitor emerging trends for risk, valuation, simulation. Gather economic/financial data needed to perform research and analysis. Generate [login to view URL] and Education Master level (MBA/MS) or Ph.D. in financial markets, statistics, econometrics, engineering, physics, mathematics, economics or related quantitative subjects (e.g., quantitative finance, financial engineering…) At least two years of experience related to financial markets: Preferably Risks in financial institutions, or other like Portfolio Management, ALM, Investment Banking. Desirable related experience in Research departments, especially in the context of econometrics, data mining, data science. Exposure to basic risk characteristics across broad range of asset classes desirable. Programming skills. Object oriented programming experience desirable. Experience with .Net will be considered. Expert user of spreadsheet software (Excel) and VBA. Structured Query Language knowledge. Solid statistical/econometric skills; experience with R, Python or Matlab will be strongly considered.
