hi,
I currently have a windows desktop application. It has MySQL database and the server has a static ip address for database access.
In a week time I will be getting an android device which has a built in printer too. Of course printer driver and a sample will be provided.
For some of the mobile operations I would like to build an android application.
About the business:
Its a wholesale business where goods are delivered by a driver everyday to local grocery shops. A driver is called a Round in the system since they follow a round route and come back.
Also there are collectors who goes to shops again to collect the money.
So I would like to build the application for these 2 users mainly .
All the customer are account customers.
Driver will go to each shop and deliver what the shop requires. Then a delivery note should be printed from the device and given to the shop. At the same time if the shop makes a payment, then a payment needs to be entered and again a receipt should be given to the shop.
Drivers also should do their stock entries on the device. That is
what they load to their vehicle before they start their journey, any damages, returns from customers and closing stock at the end of their journey.
Collectors visit the shops to collect money. They take money from shops the same way driversrs o get the payments from shops.
Drivers and collectors should have different access level to the app depending on their login username and password.
